Longchamp is a French luxury leather goods company, founded in Paris in 1948 by Jean Cassegrain.
Jean Cassegrain produced the world’s first luxury leather-covered pipes, then expanded into small leather goods, such as wallets, passport covers,e etc. Longchamp launched its first women handbag in 1971 and became one of France’s leading leather goods makers.
The company’s real breakthrough came with the use of nylon. In the 1970s, Longchamp created a leather and nylon fabric luggage collection. For the first time, luggage were light, contrary to the overweight suitcases usually sold at that time. This innovation led the company to design a women’s handbag known throughout the world: Le Pliage, few decades later.
The house is still privately owned and managed by the Cassegrain founding family.
For over 25 years we have been curating 3,000 different types of stone. Rocks that were formed over millions of years, which eventually moved from the interior of the earth to the most prestigious buildings, designed by well-respected interior designers and architects.
What started out as a personal quest for this beautiful product transformed to a deep-rooted love, passion and ambition to show the world the colourful and endless possibilities with stone. The founder and his offspring personally select the finest stone from quarries in Italy, Turkey, France, Iran and many more countries across the globe to guarantee excellent quality.
RedStone specialises in 100% natural material because nothing compares to the colours, patterns and properties of stone. Each piece is unique and can never be rivalled by man-made ceramics or composite.
From the gentle giants of the sea to its smallest creatures, Sea Shepherd’s mission is to protect all marine life species living in our oceans. Our campaigns have defended whales, dolphins, seals, sharks, penguins, turtles, fish, krill and aquatic birds from poaching, unsustainable fishing, habitat destruction, and exploitive captivity.
From its earliest years, Sea Shepherd has embraced the mandate of the United Nations World Charter for Nature to uphold international conservation laws when nations can’t…or won’t. Today, Sea Shepherd works with law enforcement agencies such as INTERPOL to help bring poachers to justice, and partners with national governments around the world to stop illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing in their sovereign waters.
